Happy 2025 Family!! Despite the outcome of the recent elections, I pray that each of you and your families are in good health and in good spirits. The good news is that we are planning for another fantastic Flowers and Horton Family Reunion. Continuing the momentum of the last 2023 reunion in Warner Robins GA, the Planning Committee has worked very hard to make the 2025 Flowers and Horton Family Reunion an enjoyable experience that you do not want to miss!! This year marks 48 years of celebrating the rich history of our family and is centered on the theme “Rooted in Love, United in Legacy”, acknowledging the power and love shared rich heritage. Family members can begin reserving rooms at Courtyard by Marriott Tysons Corner. The room rate is $149/night. Rooms must be booked no later than June 25, 2025, in order to get the $149.00 rate. This year, we will celebrate Black History by visiting the Smithsonian: National Museum of African American History in Washington D.C. It is very important for the family to RSVP with the total number of your party prior to March 31, 2025. Once more detailed plans are developed, a second letter will go out in January 2025 which will identify the fees for meals, transportation and any special event. As a reminder, all Family Members are assessed annual dues of $50/year per household. A household is based on those who share the same primary residence/home with college students being the only exception.
